The Honda Prelude was a two-door coupé that was sold in numerous generations from the late 1970s until 2001. Some earlier models had pop-up headlights, while some later editions came with innovative four-wheel steering for impressive cornering ability.
These later editions survive in greater numbers, although finding a Prelude can be difficult - which is why searching through AutoVolo, which includes nationwide listings from private sellers as well as motor dealers, makes sense. Some are imported from Japan, but will still be right-hand drive; check with your insurer that they will cover you before going ahead.
The cabin has a 2+2 layout, with spacious front seats and excellent visibility; automatic gearboxes are commonplace but not standard. The handling is sweet and the engines rev freely, and the boot is usefully-sized so it can make sense as your only car. Honda’s reputation for making reliable cars is perfectly exemplified by the Prelude, which has a great reputation for trouble-free motoring.
