Produced in the UK between 2000 and 2005, the Tino is the estate variant of the Almera, and provides more interior space than its hatchback and saloon siblings.

The easy-to-drive Tino is also well-equipped, practical and spacious; its supportive seats ensure that up to five people can be conveyed in comfort. The driver also benefits from an adjustable steering wheel, and a position that provides a good view of the road ahead, while electric wing mirrors help to further enhance visibility.

The vehicle possesses a 375-litre boot which features a conveniently hidden under-floor compartment for stowage of valuables. If necessary, the Tino’s rear seats can be completely removed in order to fit outsize items.

The Tino comes with a four-star Euro NCAP crash-test rating, and features Anti-lock Braking System, power-assisted steering, front seatbelt pre-tensioners and load-limiters and front, side and rear airbags.

The vehicle will feature one of two engines options: a 1.8-litre petrol unit or a 2.2-litre turbo diesel engine. The former produces 115bhp, while the latter offers either 110bhp or 135bhp. The diesel unit, which is paired with five-speed manual transmission, is generally regarded to be the best choice, particularly if you typically do a lot of motorway driving. This returns an optimal 44mpg.
